Last week, I attended the training session Google Cloud Onboard hosted in Montreal. It was a great opportunity to know from a first hand about the tools/services that Google offers in term of Big Data and Machine Learning.
The first speaker was from the University of Montreal, his speech was very inspiring to the people that love creating solutions under the frame of the Artificial Intelligence. It was great to know about the results of that study area gotten by Canadian researchers and particularly in Montreal. It was interesting to see how the speaker set the different input parameters of a neuronal network using the website http://playground.tensorflow.org. That tool would have been very useful in my classes at the University of Havana.
Google Team members presented the known and new features related to Machine Learning and Big Data. It’s amazing how easy is Today to scale a big project and reuse many functionalities already available. The demos were great. They were examples of the use of the presented featured applied in particular businesses and using many Google tools at the time.
It was very nice to see how popular are basics concepts of the artificial intelligence/information retrieval these days like recall, precision, neural network, clustering, grouping, filtering techniques, etc. I felt myself in a very known and attractive scenario.
These kind of training sessions are great opportunities to know about the popular technologies and the needs of the developer teams nowadays. I will attend the next one in Montreal for sure.
